Night and breakfast "BnB
Breakfast is included in the nightly rate. Breakfast is carried in a basket every morning in front of your accommodation, between 8:30 and 8:45 am: no need to be awake at 8:30 am, the basket can wait the necessary time at the foot of your cabin, caravan or yurt. As always at the Ecolodge, we prefer organic or local products. The breakfast basket includes: baguette, a pastry, organic butter, organic jam, hot drinks (coffee, green tea, white tea, black tea, hot chocolate, milk), fruit, organic yogurt, fruit juice from a small local producer.
Please note that the service schedule and the composition of the breakfast cannot be modified.

One week before your arrival, you will receive an e-mail allowing you to reserve your breakfast basket and to modulate its composition, in particular in order to avoid any food waste.

You don’t want to go to a restaurant again… and even less to cook ? Family Ecolodge offers a range of fresh and gourmet ready-made meals, seasonal recipes, available for self-service at the reception or for reservation in room-service. The dishes are presented in fresh jars, which are not canned.

… and always a selection of local wines, apple juice, Alexandre’s cider and beer, organic lemonade, lemonade, Anthony’s goat cheese crottins … Jean’s craft beers (white, brown, blond cereal and blond hopped), to be consumed with moderation.

You can book your food and drinks on our website: they will be brought directly to your accommodation in “room service”. You can also find the dishes in self-service at the reception.

Picnic basket

To take away or on site, for lunch or dinner

You can take your picnic basket with you, and enjoy a lunch break in the middle of nature (to be combined for example with a bike ride), but also eat it on the spot for lunch or dinner or take it away the day of your departure.

Composition of the picnic basket

Necessary for a sandwich (pure duck terrine from La Bretonnière or other terrine, ham …), cheese, fruit, chips, cookies, seasonal vegetables … The composition is likely to vary slightly from one day to another depending on the supply or if you have ordered several times. For a picnic without meat, we can add eggs and cheese.


Reservations must be made 24 hours in advance; last minute availability is not guaranteed.

A few days before your arrival, you will receive an email allowing you to reserve your picnic basket. You can also do it on the spot, directly at the reception.

Price of the picnic basket

10 € per person, with a minimum of 2 people.

Le Bistrot (2min. away)

the St Louis, in Batilly, on the square

New in 2022 – at the St Louis, on the village square (2 minutes walk), you will find a friendly restaurant:

  • planks of cold cuts and cheeses
  • salads
  • ice creams
  • pancakes
  • Salted food from 8 € and desserts from 2 €.
    Closed on Monday.

Local products

Mini grocery store at the reception

You will find at the reception of the Ecolodge a selection of local or organic products (goat cheese, duck terrines …) to nibble to compose a snack or an aperitif on the go. You will also find a range of drinks (artisanal cider, artisanal apple juice, wines from Sancerre, Chablis, Coteaux du Giennois …). This selection varies according to the periods of the year. The products are brought directly to your accommodation.

Restaurants in the surroundings

You will find a large choice of restaurants, for all budgets, in the vicinity of the Ecolodge, one of them being reachable on foot by a country road: Le Relais du Donjon. Here is our selection of tables that we have all personally tested and to which we always return with pleasure. We recommend that you always reserve your table.

Petit Saint-Trop


Selected by the Michelin Guide, a bistronomic table, adapted to families with children, terrace on the port of Briare, excellent value for money. Menus from 19 to 27,5 €. Closed on Sunday evening and Monday




Bistronomic cuisine, only with fresh products from local producers (vegetables, meats, cheeses, wines, delicatessen...), children welcome, excellent value for money.

Coq Li Cot'


Bistro with a very warm welcome and always nice gustatory surprises. Children are welcome. Average adult price 25€. Open Sunday and Monday.

Relais du Donjon


Country inn suitable for families with children, accessible on foot from the Ecolodge via a path (1 km).



Succulent pizzas, with a real Italian dough, homemade dishes, in short, a table for the whole family and a very good quality / price ratio. Nice and relaxed welcome. Children pampered. Average budget < 20 €


Moulin de Vanneau


Organic and local restaurant of the Moulin de Vanneau. Countryside, children welcome (educational farm on site). Average price 20€


Relais de Mantelot


Bistrot / Guiguette, only at lunchtime, children welcome (pony rides and pedal go-karts), terrace, country setting: the Loire, the lock, the canal. Average price : < 20 €.

Terres de Loire


Selected by the Michelin Guide, a gastronomic and relaxed table, children are welcome (play area) and a very pleasant terrace in good weather. Menus from 15 to 44 €. Open every day

Le Petit Bouchon


Selected by the Michelin Guide, with Bib gourmand, bistro where you are never disappointed, children welcome. Menus from 17 to 24 €. Reservation essential, often full.
